9 Days in a Row - Gym Rat

This weeks biggest achievement? - Hitting 9 days in a row of working out for at least 1/2 hour

As a result? I'm now 198.4 ... Down 6 pounds from two weeks ago.

All of this just by going to the gym for 1/2 hour every day and watching what i eat with MyFitnessPal...
I HONESTLY LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEE THAT WEBSITE

I used to do weight watchers when i lost weight for my wedding but I must say my fitness pal app and website are hands down better than WW.  At least for me. I'm always on my phone so the fact that there's an app and a barcode scanner are extremely helpful.

Since this week has been all about the working out I'll share a workout that i found in a magazine this week that is absolutely killer: (from self magazine March 2012)

1. 5 minute warm up on the treadmill
2. Total body stretches to warm up
3. 10 jumping jacks: 10 push ups
4. Upper Body Circuit:
Using 5lb weights - 10 one arm rows, 10 lateral side raises, 10 front raises, 10 bicep curls to overhead press
5. 5 push ups; 5 burpees
6. 30 seconds of alternating jump lunges
7. Run up and down a flight of stairs ; repeat twice
8. pedal on a stationary bike for 5 minutes resistence 10 or 15
9. 10 jumping jacks; 10 push ups
10. Abs Circuit:
10 cruches; 15 crunches with hands under tailbone, curling knees to chest; 15 cruches with legs extended; 15 full sit-ups with feet planted; 30 seconds straight leg flutter kick; 30 seconds of leg scissors; hold plank for 15 seconds
11. 3-minute run on treadmill at 7mph
12. repeat Ab Circuit
13. 10 jumping jacks; 10 push ups
14. assisted pull ups; 3 sets of 10 reps
15. 3 minutes jumping rope
16. repeat upper body circuit
17. 3 minutes jumping rope
18. 30 seconds hold plank
19. repeat stair run
20. pull ups 3 sets of 6
21. 3 minutes on bike at resistance 10
22. 10 push ups
23. 3 minutes jumping rope.

HOLY CRAP

I only did the first half since i was just wanting to do 1/2 hour but if you do the whole thing in an hour it's supposed to burn around 800-1000 calories

As a mommy I'm realizing that if i'm going to take time away from my little girl i'm going to push really hard in that work out... no half assing it or else i'll have to spend double the time away from her.

So that's the exercise part

I'm also really proud about how i ate this week.  I did eat out twice this week and both times managed to stay within 200 calories of my daily goal by off setting with exercise and choosing healthier options.  Picking a healthy entree let me eat some chips and spinach dip. Yum!!

So 9 days down, 21 left in my mini-challenge of 30 days straight exercising.

Oh yeah and btw I'm through 4 days without Starbucks ... 36 more to go on that.
